Technical communications are of two kinds, depending on the audience. One organizes and disseminates large quantities of detailed information for a technical audience, the other selects only the most important information and presents it in a manner the non-technical audience can use. An API reference for an SDK and a tech support knowledgebase are examples of the former. End user help files and sales collateral are examples of the latter.
